Press & Reviews:
“"Josephin is a powerhouse. She rocks hard , and she has a message. She has conviction. She is on a crusade against injustice. Backed by a great four piece band , she delivers fierce and catchy tunes that make you think. She backs up her words with actions, supporting charity with the profits from her music. She is also a supporter of The New England Revolution soccer team, and she wrote a great theme song for the team. Jo grew up in Israel, and immigrated to Boston, and we are glad to have her here. She fits right in."” - TJ Welch
“"New England takes a crack at establishing their own club anthem By Andrew Wiebe After Real Salt Lake got things started with the "Believe RSL" anthem that got considerable internet love, the New England Revolution have added their own offering to the genre. The team announced on Monday that “New England Revolution Anthem,” written and performed by Josephin Shlomit Madden, a local from Abington, Mass., has been selected as the New England Revolution’s official 2012 victory song. I dig the punk rock vibe, and Josephin did a great job putting together something authentic and catchy at the same time. She's got a big voice and presence that fit the anthem well. The only thing left is for the Revs to win, something that hasn't come easy through two games in 2012. Fortunately, they'll have another chance to pipe this bad boy through the Gillette Stadium sound system on Saturday when Portland come to town.” ” - Andrew Wiebe
““Music with a message In addition to sharing their music, most acts also strived to spread a message. Josephine Madden, who performs as Josephine with a Cause, sings about social injustice through a personal lens. Growing up in Israel, she witnessed violence and poverty. After moving to Brookline with her young daughter just more than a year ago, she said, she drummed up the courage to share her rock music with the community that welcomed her in a time of need. “I came with nothing, just one suitcase, and the community opened their arms to me,” she said. “I want to give them courage through my words and through music.” ” - Alyssa Meyers
Around The World anti abuse T-Shirt was Designed and manufactured by Singer-Songwriter-Artist Josephine With A Cause. Josephine’s also wrote the song Around The World which inspired this design.
Lyrics for Around The World (anti abuse) - by Josephine With A Cause:
Sunny was a beaming Sun ray Secrets scorched her prayers Lenny’s laughter- bells in Sunday His pearly freedom rang so well Bella shines bright in Ballet She starred in all her school’s plays Stevie skipped up to the plate His coach said he’d end up in Fenway They had to say No Way.. No way..
Teacher sees the black and blue frays The looks of distant daze You introvert and burst a blaze Silent screams- a maze Mom and dad in disarray Secrets held at bay Inside you shame and self blame inlay Somebody help me say No Way Say No way!
Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world we will protect you Today And always Oh..
Momma sees no, hears no may-days Has to work each day, all day Somebody has to watch you baby For a price no one should pay Sweet dreams turned to decay You knew you didn’t want to play You knew that it was not okay Mommy helped you say no way She said No Way!
Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world we will protect you Today And always Oh..
In every language we say today We swear today Not one more child turned to prey We swear today Come, what come may, no way! We swear today Around the world, hear us when we say:
Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world. Around the world we will protect you Today And always Oh..

Two Steps by Josephine: "Soft moody loop of playing out the notes of the verse chord progression. Then chord progression of a full Chorus.
You show me pictures of your proud folks One step, two steps, go Mistreated nobleman its hard to talk One step, two steps, go I tell you tales of my survivals clan One step, two steps, go From one oppression to the next we ran One step, two steps, go One step, two steps, go go go go And Baby-
Our roots become the ropes that bond our hate One step, two steps, go With every bone we want to break free of this fate One step, two steps, go But we're two branches of the same tree so One step, two steps, go We'll have to share this dirt on which we grow One step, two steps, go One step, two steps, go go go go For the children-
Take two steps forward on this one way track, back to back One foot after the other Together And never look back Take two steps forward on this one way track and never look back One foot after the other Together And never look back
You hold on to your own with bleeding hands One step, two steps, go Gut says to defend to what ever end One step, two steps, go (But) Children on the alter I cant stand One step, two steps, go (Oh) It’s a stretch to make the white dove land One step, two steps, go One step, two steps, go go go go And Baby-
When there's no compromise, no shaking hands One step, two steps, go A tree will break when it's too stiff to bend One step, two steps, go Coffins draped with blood back home we send One step, two steps, go We have to make the dying end One step, two steps, go One step, two steps, go go go go For the children-
Take two steps forward on this one way track, back to back One foot after the other Together And never look back Take two steps forward on this one way track and never look back One foot after the other Together And never look back
You show me pictures as you shed some light One step two steps go I tell you tales in sand, not black and white One step two steps go Eye for an eye means blood shed - don’t look back! One step two steps go Tooth for a tooth means blood shed - don’t look back! One step, two steps, go One step, two steps, go go go go For the children-
Take two steps forward on this one way track, back to back One foot after the other Together And never look back Take two steps forward on this one way track and never look back One foot after the other Together And never look back And never look back And never look back"
